We operate under Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) - Animal Products Act 1999 Guidelines for homekill and recreational catch and we are registered with MPI. We are also members of the Federated Farmers Industry Group rural Butchers.

All animals processed are for your consumption or use of the animal owner, or his/her family, or farm employer, and are not to be sold or traded. Those who consume homekill or recreational catch do so at their own risk.

Dr Huds Killing and Processing is not liable if our customers do not adhere to the rules.

BEAST
(Slaughtering day is on Monday or Tuesday)

  • Slaughter Fee $170 - $250 approx. (depending on location & km’s)
  • Processing Fee (minimum charge $250) $1.80 per kg of Beast’s Dead Hook Weight
  • Packing Fee: $15.00 per ½ and/or $15.00 per ¼
  • Sausage’s & Sausage Meat Products (approx 10% of the carcass weight)
  • Dr Hud’s Traditional Sausages $5.50 per kg
  • Gluten/Preservative Free Sausages & Tubes $6.50 per kg (no swiss roll available)
  • Flavoured Gluten Free Sausages Smoked Jalapeno $12.00kg & Merlot & Cracked Pepper $7.50kg
  • Cheese/Garlic/Boerewors $7.50 per kg

  • Slaughtering & Processing Fee $80.00 each – (*Basic Cuts - Forequarter Roasts, Loin Chops & Hindquarter Roasts)
  • Whole Sheep for Spit $40.00 – Killed & Boned/Rolled for spit $130.00 (+ stuffing $10.00)
  • Onsite Farm Slaughter Mileage Fee $70.00 for 7 or less (8 or more no charge)
  • Extra Charges: ((Any extra Boning will incur extra charges) - Breeding Rams $40.00 kill only (Over 30kg & Fat Sheep $10.00 each extra)
  • Forequarters – into chops $14.00 / Rolled Roast $10.00 each / Boneless Shoulder $8.00 each / Stuffing $3.00 per Shoulder
  • Loin - Lamb Racks $8.00 per sheep

  • Extra Charges: (for dicing, schnitzel & forequarter into chops) Pickled Pork $15.00 per cut
  • Whole Pig into Bacon $20.00 per cut + Ham $25.00 each
  • Part of Pig into Bacon $20.00 per cut + Ham $25.00 each
  • Dr Hud’s Traditional Sausages $6.50 kg – Gluten/Preservative Free $6.50 kg

Late Pick Up Fee may apply if your meat is not collected within a reasonable time frame.
