We operate under Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) - Animal Products Act 1999 Guidelines for homekill and recreational catch and we are registered with MPI. We are also members of the Federated Farmers Industry Group rural Butchers.

All animals processed are for your consumption or use of the animal owner, or his/her family, or farm employer, and are not to be sold or traded. Those who consume homekill or recreational catch do so at their own risk.

Dr Huds Killing and Processing is not liable if our customers do not adhere to the rules.

BEAST
(Slaughtering day is on Monday or Tuesday)

  • Slaughter Fee $100 - $160 approx. (depending on location & km’s)
  • Processing Fee (minimum charge $250) $1.50 per kg of Beast’s Hook Weight
  • Packing Fee: $15.00 per ½ and/or $15.00 per ¼
  • Sausage’s & Sausage Meat Products (approx 10% of the carcass weight)
  • Dr Hud’s Traditional Sausages $5.00 per kg
  • Gluten/Preservative Free Sausages & Tubes $6.00 per kg (no swiss roll available)
  • Extra Charges:

Late Pick Up Fee may apply if your meat is not collected within a reasonable time frame.
